Video footage captures a human-like robot wildly swinging its limbs and acting 'hysterically,' causing its operators to retreat in a workspace.
It seems this robot was crafted by Unitree, a leading Chinese firm in the field of robotics, producing some of the most cutting-edge tech around.
Their H1 model features a distinctively hollow face and can move around autonomously, walking and running on its own. It was last year that it garnered
global record for the quickest humanoid bot,
reaching a maximum speed of 7 miles per hour.
The firm has not yet commented on the video, which has been extensively circulated by technology-focused social media accounts.

The video demonstrates just how erratic—and risky—a human-like robot can be when safety measures are neglected.
He mentioned that the video, which did not credit its source, seemed genuine, and stated: “Our robots would frequently engage in such behavior many years back when I was working as a graduate researcher, prior to realizing the critical importance of having a remote ESTOP.”
Robots are poised to become increasingly prevalent in our everyday routines, which means these concerns might soon be challenges we all need to address.
The equipment tends to be robust and bulky, thereby posing a risk of severe harm, even from minor incidents like tripping.
Mr Zhang stated that wireless emergency stops were essential for addressing robots that malfunctions.
However, in response to his post, Elad Inbar, who founded RobotLab—a firm offering robotics and artificial intelligence solutions for both education and businesses—commented: “As I keep watching this video, it becomes clearer to me that the movements have been programmed specifically to generate a viral sensation…”
Mr Zhang replied that this idea was 'foolish', and Mr Inbar stated that he concurred.
It is believed that the robot might have moved erratically due to losing its equilibrium.
In the footage, it is anchored at the top, which means the code typically employed for maintaining stability wouldn’t have functioned as expected.
When minor adjustments proved ineffective, it might have turned to broader motions in an attempt to stabilize itself, which could make it seem as though it suddenly became like Skynet from our perspective.
This comes after an earlier event during the year when a humanoid robot seemingly 'attacked' attendees at a spring festival in Tianjin, located in northeastern China.
