Visiting one of the most stunning rocky mountain ranges—Spiti Valley—is hardly ever a letdown, often leaving visitors spellbound. But for this group of travelers, their adventure took an even more enchanting turn with an extraordinary sighting: a snow leopard! One tourist posted a video on social media showing the magnificent creature leisurely walking along the path. Upon noticing the human-filled car, the feline unexpectedly stayed put instead of fleeing; it actually led them forward as they followed at a safe distance. Once uploaded, the footage quickly spread across the internet and sparked numerous reactions from viewers.
Many online users called the travelers 'fortunate,' since spotting a snow leopard is incredibly uncommon, whereas others commended them for maintaining their distance from the large feline.
Times Now was unable to verify the precise date and location of the event.
On May 5th, 2025, somewhere between 6 and 7 PM, during our trip from Kaza to Nako, approximately 8-10 kilometres past Tabo, we had an extraordinary encounter – a snow leopard right on the road! Such elusive animals are seldom spotted, particularly in May. The creature remained serene amidst the rocks, perfectly camouflaged against the rugged terrain of Spiti. Indeed, this was a truly enchanting highlight of our voyage," as stated in the post.
