Government Set to Override 15 Planning Laws to Fast-Track 2032 Olympics Venues

The stadiums being constructed for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics and Paralympics, such as the one at Victoria Park, will not have to adhere to standard planning regulations.

Today, the Queensland government plans to present a bill to Parliament that would grant the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) authority over 15 different planning regulations.
