Before every Fantasy Premier League match week, we will keep you informed about all the recent developments, such as player injuries, bans, fixture lineups, along with our detailed breakdown of key considerations for your team.

Fantasy Premier League week 36 selections - key considerations

The specifics for the FA Cup finale have been set, and the Premier League matches have been rearranged; however, this hasn’t significantly impacted Fantasy Premier League (FPL) strategies since each squad continues to compete once per week until the season concludes.

No more double or blank gameweeks.

A reminder the assistant manager chip is available now and managers have a monetary value between £0.5m and £1.5m which players need to budget for. It's the final weekend this chip can be maximised. Make sure all chips are played before the end of the season too.

Atop the Premier League standings, Liverpool will face Arsenal at Anfield following their rotation-heavy match against Chelsea. They might seek redemption as they conclude the season with away games at Brighton and a home fixture versus Crystal Palace.

FPL categorizes fixture difficulties into five levels: dark green (1), considered the 'easiest,' followed by light green (2), neutral (3), light red (4), and finally dark red (5). This last category represents what we're focusing on in our analysis.

Arsenal are six points clear of sixth-placed Nottingham Forest so should have no problem qualifying for the Champions League next season but their second spot could be at threat if the Gunners don't step up in the league with Manchester City three points back and Newcastle United and Chelsea both a further one off. After being knocked out of the Champions League by PSG, the Gunners will want to finish the season strong. After the trip to Anfield, Arsenal play Newcastle United at home before visiting Southampton.

The team remains in excellent condition and is set to face Southampton next, followed by matches against Bournemouth and Fulham to conclude their schedule. Erling Haaland sat on the substitutes' bench during the previous match against Wolves and is anticipated to play in the upcoming game at Southampton. However, it’s unclear whether he will begin from the starting lineup or not; choosing him comes with risks due to his cost. Yet, this situation presents both high-risk, high-reward possibilities. On the other hand, Kevin de Bruyne appears as a more secure pick, having achieved double-figure scores in two of the past four fixtures.

Newcastle United face a challenging stretch with matches against Chelsea at home, followed by trips to Arsenal and Everton. After welcoming Chelsea next, they will host Manchester United afterward. Finally, the Blues conclude their season away at Nottingham Forest.

Aston Villa are set to face Bournemouth next, followed by a match against Tottenham at home and then a game away against Manchester United. Given that Tottenham and Manchester United might focus more on the Europa League (as both clubs could advance to the final, which hasn’t been played as this is written), Aston Villa presents an opportunity for Fantasy Premier League managers to score well. Among Villa players, Morgan Rogers appears to be the most reliable choice.

Bournemouth will face Aston Villa next, followed by a trip to Manchester City and concluding with a match at home against Leicester City. Meanwhile, Brentford, having secured victories in each of their last three matches and remaining undefeated over five outings, are set to play away against Ipswich Town prior to facing Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Players like Bryan Mbeumo, Yoane Wissa, or Kevin Schade may prove pivotal for Brentford’s campaign for the remainder of the season.

Brighton's performance remains inconsistent as they head to Wolverhampton Wanderers before facing Liverpool at home and concluding their campaign away against Tottenham Hotspur. Meanwhile, Fulham has upcoming matches against Everton, Brentford, andManchester City in their last three games of the season.

Recently, Crystal Palace's performance in the league has declined, as they haven't secured a victory in their past five matches which have been particularly challenging. They have an upcoming FA Cup final on May 17th, so they might decide to focus more on this tournament instead. Their remaining Premier League fixtures include crucial games against Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers, andLiverpool.

Wolves' strong run of play was halted against Manchester City, but they still have upcoming matches against Brighton, Crystal Palace, and Brentford left as neutral fixtures. In contrast, Everton has games against Fulham and Southampton ahead, concluding their season with a match at Newcastle United.
